Can
you relate to this at all? I wake up every morning and wonder
where the time is going. Do you ever do that? Have you noticed
that, the older you and your children get, the faster time
seems to fly? I'm very lucky - right now I get to enjoy my
wife & two young children every day. But, I am truly
amazed at what has happened to the little bundles we brought
home from the hospital just a short time ago. My daughter
Katie is almost 5 yaers old, and my son Kevin just turned
1 a few months ago. I look at both of my kids every day and
wonder
"Where did the time go?". These magical times we
are enjoying right now are precious to me, and I thank God
that I will have more than just the memories to help me relive
them when these days have passed....
There's
Nothing Like Being The Parent Of A New Baby. You'll Do
Anything For This Little Person You Have Been Blessed With.
And When Your Baby Looks Up At You And Smiles, It's The
Most Wonderful Feeling In The World...
Imagine
this: Last year I took a great series of portraits of my
son Kevin when he was 6 months old (they're the images you
see here). as you can see, we created some very heartwarming
images that really captured a sense of his personality and
who he was at that stage in his life. My wife Christine was
there with us, and that moment was precious for all of us.
There's
so much joy - so much emotion in these images. Every time
I see these portraits it fills me with happiness, as I reflect
on how amazing Kevin was at that special age. There will
be other great photographs of Kevin in the coming months & years,
but there will never be another "6 month old" portrait,
because this precious time in his life has already passed.
These
Photographs Mean So Much To My Family, I Can't Even Describe
How We Would Feel If We Lost Them- Or If We Had Missed
That Opportunity To Create Them.
What
would baby portraits like that of your new baby mean to you
in 20 or 25 years? There's still time, but this first year
will be gone in the blink of an eye, and very quickly these
incredible moments you are now enjoying will be gone forever.
These
Kinds Of Photographs Are Not Accidents. They Are Not
Snapshots. And Yet They're Not "Posed" Or Unnatural
In Any Way. They Are Works Of Art That Capture Your Baby's
True Personality, &
The Wonder Of This Precious Time In Your Family's Life.
You
know your baby better than anyone else in the world. Already
you probably can tell by his or her subtle expressions whether
your baby is really happy or not. But, you know what? When
it comes to your baby's portraits, other people can tell
the difference too. We all can. You've seen photographs where
you could tell the photographer just placed the baby in front
of a background and "snapped a few shots" before
moving on to the next baby. The lighting may have been OK.
The background might have been descent. But you could tell
by the baby's expression that he or she wasn't really comfortable & happy,
and that there wasn't any sense of the baby's true personality
captured in that image. It's that lack of emotion, that lack
of "sparkle" in their eyes that makes the photograph
look like a snapshot instead of a special captured moment
in your baby's life.
That's
What Makes All The Difference! The Perfect Portrait of
Your Baby Is Priceless - And It's ONLY Possible If The
Photographer Understands How To Work With You & Your
Baby To Bring Out Those Natural Expressions, Capturing
Those Precious Moments That You Will Treasure For Years
To Come.
When
you find the right photographer, a photographer who doesn't
merely understand photography, but also understands how to
capture your baby's best expressions, you have found a new
friend you will value for the rest of you life. This photographer
is going to do something for you that no one else in the
world can ever do ---- This photographer will STOP TIME,
and capture a cherished memory that you will be able to relive
every day of your life.
Nothing
means more to me than family memories. No one (other than
maybe the rest of your family) understands what your child
means to you more than I do. That's one of the reasons I
became a family, baby
& children's photographer - I want to help other parents
hold on to their family memories forever, and never regret
not having a special photograph of their child created.
Question:
"Just Suppose Someone Were To Create The Perfect Portrait
of Your Baby- One That Didn't Just Show What He Or She Looks
Like, But Actually Captured a Sense Of Who Your Baby Really
Is- A Portrait That Meant The World To You - What Would That
Be Worth?"
No
price tag can be put on your family's memories. They are
and always will be priceless. So, why would you ever want
to gamble with those memories? It's just a question of whether
you believe a portrait of your baby could really mean that
much to you.
If
you were sick, and had to go to a doctor, would you want
the "cheapest"
doctor, or the best one? Well, there's really no question.
It's the same thing with your family's memories. You can certainly
find a cheaper photographer in town. But there are other things
to consider than just price...
The
Photographer You Choose Should Care About YOUR FAMILY
AND YOUR MEMORIES, Not Just About "Making A Buck" Off
You.
I
pride myself on becoming a friend of every family I work
with. I've even had some clients invite me to their houses
for birthday parties and such. You see, I didn't get into
photography to get rich. Believe me, there are better (and
easier) ways to make a fast buck. I used to be an advertising & magazine
photographer. I could be making a WHOLE lot of money if I'd
stayed in that line of work.
But
I CHOSE to become a professional baby, family & children's
photographer. Why did I make that career choice? Because
I finally realized that all the money in the world meant
nothing to me if I didn't feel like I was making a difference.
I
Realized That Early Childhood Memories Were Priceless
- That There Was No More Noble Or Wonderful Profession
Than To Become A "Memory Giver."
I
didn't choose to become a baby photographer just because
I liked to take pictures. Don't get me wrong, I do like the "art"
of photography, but that's NOT the primary reason I do what
I do. As I grew up, my mother and father didn't have any photographs
created of all of us together, and they never had professional
portraits created of me as a child except the occasional school
photo. I know first hand how unfortunate it is to lose decades
of memories that could have been captured & preserved through
photographs. I know what it's like to not have a single high
quality photograph to show my wife & kids what I was really
like as a baby. The few snapshots I do have are faded, barely
in focus, and taken from too far away. They just don't mean
a lot because while they technically show how I looked as a
baby, they are very poor quality and certainly don't provide
any sense of personality or emotion.
Now,
I Have A Family Of My Own, And I Swore I Would Be Sure
To Capture The Memories Of My Children Through Fine Portraiture.
Today,
I can't enjoy and treasure the portrait that my parents never
had made, but what I can do is make sure my children never
have to say the same thing.
I
can fill my home with lots of great portraits that will tell
the story of our family through all of the wonderful stages
of childhood and beyond. I honestly believe that is one of
the greatest gifts I can give my family- and that's why I
want to help give the same gift to your family.
Time
is the one thing that none of us have enough of. It's the
one thing that money can't buy. It's the one thing that we
all would give just about anything for. Through photography,
we can hold on to the moments in our lives that we wish could
last forever. And, if it's done correctly, these same photographs
can be works of art that we display in our homes for everyone
to see and share.
Don't
Make The Decision As To Who Will Photograph Your Baby
Until You Chat With Me. There Are Things You'll Want
To Ask The Photographers...
There's
no cost, and no obligation to just chat with me, and it will
make the whole difference as to how great your portraits
will look. My studio number is 434-5299.
Don't
worry. I'm not going to try to "sell you" on working
with me. I'm already very busy, and I don't need to pressure
anyone to work with me as a photographer. I'll just talk
to you about your portraits, and help you discover what your
photographs could be like.
If
you decide to have me create your portraits - great. If not,
no problem.

Parents Who Have Had Their Lives Forever Enriched By
the Lasting Memories Of Baby & Children's Portraits
---

But There Were Things Even They Didn't Know When They Started
Looking
For A Photographer...
If
you're like most parents, when you first thought of having
portraits created of your baby, you probably pictured in
your mind a chain store studio, with a painted background,
some bright lights, and you waiting in a long line hoping
your baby isn't tired & cranky by the time your portraits
are finally created. Maybe you even thought of a family member
or friend of yours who fancies himself or herself as a "bit
of a photography buff." Maybe you thought of having
this person do a quick photograph of your baby, and you'd
call that good enough. You're not alone. Most parents think
this way at first....
...but
then, just like the other parents on this site, something
made you decide to check out my website. You probably saw
some of the baby photography I've created and said to yourself "that's
what I want." Maybe you realized that these portraits
of your baby are so important, you're not going to trust
it to just anyone. Believe me, you've made the right choice.
The
6 VITAL Things To Look For In Your Baby's Photographer
- The Secrets 99% Of All People In The World Don't Know:
By
reading this far, you must at least be considering having
a professional portrait of your baby created. Well, that's
great - you will probably never make a decision that will
bring you more lasting joy. However, there are some things
you NEED to know before you decide which studio is right
for you. By the time you finish reading this webpage, you
will know everything you need to know about how to have perfect
portraits of your baby created - the ones you will cherish
forever!
There
are 6 VITAL things you must look for in a photographer! If
your photographer is missing any one of these things, your
baby's photographs will be much less than they should be.
Demand that your photographer does each and every one of
these things!
You
may feel like having your baby's portraits created is going
to be a lot of work on your part. Well, it isn't! As long
as you know the information on this website, it won't be
any work at all on your part.
....So,
let's jump right in!
#1
Thing Your Photographer MUST DO:
Demand That Your Photographer GUARANTEE You Will Love Your
Baby's Portraits.
Of
everything I'm going to tell you here this is probably the
most important part- because it is essential to your getting
the very best portraits possible, and most photographers
WILL NOT DO THIS! Just suppose you had a portrait created,
and your baby didn't look natural in it. The photograph was "ok," but
it didn't turn out spectacular. Should you have to pay for
it? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I believe strongly that no one should
ever have to pay for a photograph that isn't PERFECT. That's
why I am the only photographer on the Central Coast to offer
the following guarantee:
CHECK
THIS OUT -
A Guarantee Unlike Any You've Ever Heard:
If
Your Baby Doesn't Look Absolutely Wonderful In His Or Her
Portraits- If They Don't Warm Your Heart & Make You
Want To Cry (Tears Of Joy) When You Look At Them - You
Don't Pay Me For Them.
That's
my guarantee and personal promise to you. As far as I know,
there's no other photographer around that will make you this
super of a guarantee. These photographs will be completely
meaningless to you unless they convey the real emotions and
personality of your baby. That's the only real reason
to have a baby's portrait created in the first place.
So,
if FOR ANY REASON you feel that the photographs I create
for you are anything less than perfect - if you aren't thrilled
beyond words when I show them to you for the first time,
you don't pay me for them. It's that simple.
Obviously,
I'm totally confident that the portraits I create for you
will be well beyond anything you imagine. I believe completely
that these photographs will become your most prized possessions
- that, if your house were on fire, you would grab them on
the way out of your burning home. This is not arrogance-
it is simply a complete belief in my abilities to capture
natural, real emotions from babies &
children unlike anyone else on the Central Coast. That's what
I've devoted my life to, and that's why I can't wait to photograph
your baby for you.
So,
To Restate, Here's My Fantastic DOUBLE GUARANTEE:
If
you are not THRILLED with your photographs - if you are dissatisfied
for ANY reason at all, I will do two things for you:
1st
- At NO CHARGE, I will photograph your baby again, and make
sure that anything that wasn't perfect is fixed, without
you paying another cent.
2nd
- If I am absolutely unable to thrill you - if I'm unable
to create photographs that you feel you will cherish forever,
I will refund EVERY PENNY you invested in them. You don't
pay for your photographs unless you love them beyond expression!
If
I don't end up being your photographer, make ABSOLUTELY
SURE your photographer offers this strong of a guarantee.
If they are professional and really good at what they
do, they should back up their work by taking all the
risk off of you.
#2 Thing Your Baby Photographer MUST DO:
Offer You A Reserved Appointment For A Private Session Time!
If
you've ever been to a chain store studio, you know how it
often goes. You get there only to find that there is a long
line of other moms & children waiting ahead of you. You
decide to wait because this is really important to you and
your baby is in a great mood right now. But as the time passes,
your baby starts to get cranky. The other babies start to
get cranky. All the moms start to get cranky, which then
makes the photographer cranky! By the time you get your turn,
the smiling happy baby you brought in is a complete mess,
you are exhausted, and the photographer is trying to rush
you through so he or she can get to the other moms who have
stacked up behind you (who's crying babies you can hear growing
more &more impatient throughout your entire session).
This is how you're supposed to capture your baby in a magical
way that you will love and cherish for years to come? I don't
think so!
The key to getting exceptional portraits of babies (or anyone
for that matter) is to create an environment where your entire
photographic experience is relaxing and stress-free. In fact,
it's supposed to be fun! That's why we always give you a reserved
appointment for your session. There will never be a line
of moms waiting ahead of you in my studio, and you will never
be told "sorry, we're really busy- can you come back later?" Your
session appointment is yours and yours alone, and I will always
be ready to work with your baby right away. I'll also schedule
your session for a time that is truly ideal for your baby,
based on his or her napping
& feeding schedule. In fact, when you call me to schedule
your session, one of the first questions I will ask you is "what
time of day tends to be best for you & your baby right
now?". Like I said earlier, they key to unforgettable
portraits is that you and your baby are completely relaxed,
and feel truly ready to have a fun & pleasant photography
experience. And that's exactly what you will enjoy every time
you visit my studio- guaranteed!
If
I don't end up being your photographer, make ABSOLUTELY
SURE your photographer gives you a reserved appointment
for a private session. You deserve his or her full & undivided
attention!!!
#3
Thing Your Baby Photographer MUST DO:
Have A "No-Hassles" Rescheduling Policy.
OK,
if you've had your baby for more than a few days or if you
have other children, you know that life with a baby is rarely
predictable. Feeding schedules change, sleep requirements
change, moods change, and things like colds or teething can
make an normally happy &
content baby a complete mess. And the most challenging part
is, these changes are almost totally unpredictable, and you
rarely know they are coming ahead of time!
Now what do you do if despite your best efforts, your baby
is unhappy at the time of your scheduled session? Maybe she
came down with a cold last night. Perhaps he just started getting
his first tooth and spent most of the night crying. Well, if
you were working with a different studio you might feel pressured
by the photographer to keep the appointmentment- which would
only result in you &
your baby having a stressful session, and you ending up with
portraits that you don't love. But hey, at least the photographer
kept the time slot full and made a little money, right?
Please hear this: I am not just a photographer. I'm
also a dad of young children, and I completely understand
what it's like having a baby in the family. That's why
I have a 100% "No Hassels" rescheduling policy.
If on the day of your scheduled session you or your baby are
just not in a great state to have your portraits created, you
simply call me and say "Kent, today's just not the day".
And you know what I will say?..."I completely understand,
it's no problem. Let me see when we can next get you in." That's
it! No pressure, no complaining, no worries. You see, that last
thing I want you to do is keep your appointment when your baby
isn't happy, because there's no way I can create incredible portraits
if that's the case (and I simply refuse to give you anything
less than incredible photographs of your baby!).
Now I should mention that due to the incredible demand for
our services, we are often booked up many weeks in advance,
and have a waiting list, and getting you back in at a convenient
time may sometimes be a little challenging. Because of this,
you really don't want to reschedule unless you have to. But
the point is that you will NEVER feel any guilt or pressure
from me if for any reason you or your baby are not at your
best for your session and need to reschedule. I really do understand,
so you don't have to worry about this issue at all.
If
I don't end up being your photographer, make ABSOLUTELY
SURE your photographer understands the realities of having
a baby & is flexible regarding your portrait session
appointment!
#4
Thing Your Photographer MUST DO:
The Photographer MUST Allow Plenty Of TimeTo Photograph
Your Baby!!
This
is a biggie. Most photographers are trying to crank so many
sessions through in a day, they only have a short amount
of time to photograph each subject. Did you know that the
average baby photographer spends ONLY 10-12 MINUTES photographing
a baby?! That's insane!
Fine
baby photography is like a great meal in a fine restaurant:
It CAN'T be rushed. This takes a bit of patience, and a lot
of focus. If your photographer knows that in about 15 minutes
the next client is going to show up, you're not going to
get the attention you deserve. That's why I reserve an entire
hour of my time for your visit. That's right, an entire hour.
Now,
it may not take the whole hour to photograph your baby. However,
I always set aside one hour for every baby session I book.
I've done some sessions that only took about 20 minutes or
so to get a number of stunning images, but the point is -
it's vital to leave that much time open. That way if we need
to take a break for a feeding, diaper change, or just give
your baby a change of scenery for a few minutes, we can resume
your session when you both are ready, and still have plenty
of time to create portraits that will take your breath away!
Don't let your photographer rush through this. Remember, these
are your memories, and it's up to you to make sure your photographer
realizes his or her responsibility to you and your baby.
If
I don't end up being your photographer, make ABSOLUTELY
SURE your photographer allows sufficient time to create
the perfect images for you - this cannot be rushed!
URGENT:::
MAJOR Myth, Mistake Or Misconception About Your Baby's
Photography:
"There's
No Rush To Have Portraits Of Your Baby Created Right Now."
Before
we continue with the 6 THINGS
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER MUST DO, let's talk about this for a moment.
So many people (especially newer parents) think they have
plenty of time to have a portrait of their baby created.
After all, he or she will be a baby for at least a year or
two, right?
But,
you know how things are. If you don't pick up the phone right
now, and at least call me to chat about your baby's portraits,
you will probably get swamped with other things, and forget
all about it for a while. Then, before you know it, a month-
six months- a year has gone by. How different will your baby
be by then?
You
see, time is ticking.... and it's never going to stop. And
never in a child's life to the changes occur a quickly as
during their first year. Even a couple of weeks can be enough
to lose a magical moment forever!
In
No Time At All, Your Baby Smiles For The First Time.
Next, Learns To Sit Up. Starts To Crawl, Then Walk. Says
His Or Her Very First Word...
These
are precious times, and although things will change, this
moment never has to slip from your fingers.
Don't
put this off. You know how life is. We put things off, and
before we know it, everything has changed. If your life is
half as crazy as mine is, year after year you find yourself
frustrated at the things you wanted to do, and never got
done. Having a fine art portrait of your baby - as he or
she is right now - is something you will always treasure & never
regret.
Plus,
You Will Save 50% By Acting Right Now!
Just
suppose you call my studio and chat with me. Just suppose
you decide you would like me to be your baby's photographer.
As long as you are one of the first 9 people to call me this
month (for your FREE chat), I will deduct 50% off the creation
of your baby's portraits!
WHAT
SHOULD YOU DO RIGHT THIS SECOND?

back. Don't worry, I'm not going to try to "pressure" you
at all into working with me. Plus, there's no cost at all
for us just to chat.
When
you call, we'll chat briefly about the things you need to
know. I'll tell you a bit about me. I'll answer all your
questions about how to prepare for your baby's portraita
- including things I don't have time to put in this letter.
It won't be a long call, but it will be one of the most important
calls you make.
#5
Thing Your Photographer MUST DO:
Have A Warm, Safe, Family Friendly Studio- And Have A Private
Room Just For Moms & Babies!
Like
I mentioned earlier, your entire experience while in my studio
is just as important to me as the finished portraits we create.
If you don't have a good time, if you don't feel comfortable &
at ease, then you won't feel great about your experience with
me- regardless of how your portraits look. That's why I designed
my studio in every detail to feel warm, comfortable, and relaxing.
When you first come into our lobby, you'll think you just stepped
into a nice home rather than a business. The furniture, the
decor, the lighting- everything looks & feels just like
you are in a peaceful & inviting home. In fact, I've had
clients say they wish they could spend all day at my studio
because it is such a nice place to be. You'll have to see it
to appreciate it, but once you do you'll never settle for anything
less again.
Check this out, because you won't hear this anywhere else!!!
The first time you visit my studio, I'll show you around the
studio so you know where everything is. And one of the highlights
of the tour will definitely our private nurshing & changing
room. It looks like a mini-nursery, and it is 100% at your
disposal. From the glider to can sit in to rock & feed
your baby, to our completely stocked changing station, to the
lullaby music playing in the background- everything in this
room is designed to make your life easier and to make sure
your baby well taken care of. There's even a fountain in the
room- it's so relaxing!
Now I could have skimped on these details and my studio would
be no different than most other studios you will find. But
the point is we're not like every other studio. I am 100% committed
to making you feel like a true VIP while visiting with me,
because to me you and your family are more than just "customers".
I consider my new clients to be good friends I simply hadn't
met before, and you will always be treated with the utmost
care every time you visit us! We
are a family studio where kids are our top priority, and your
entire family will always feel relaxed, safe & welcomed
while visiting with us- guaranteed.
If
I don't end up being your photographer, make ABSOLUTELY
SURE your photographer provides you with a warm, safe & friendly
environment where your baby & family are well taken
care of!
#6
Thing Your Baby Photographer MUST DO:
The Photographer Must Truly, Sincerely Love Working With
Babies!!!
If
you've ever been to a business where the person you were
working with didn't really seem to enjoy working with babies
or children, then you know what a drag that can be. Anybody
who is photographig babies just because it's "a job" has
no right to be entrusted with your family's memories. And
they simply can't give you the same quality or capture the
same emotion that a photographer who loves babies can.
You see, a great baby portrait has emotional & artistic
qualities that are sometimes hard to describe but always easy
to see. The main difference between a mere visual record of
your baby &
a piece of art that stirs your heart every time you look at
it has everything to do with the person who created it. Fine
photography after all is not just a technical process, but
a creative, artistic process as well. And how the artist feels
about the subject he or she is photographing makes all the
difference in the world!
You've probably figured this out by now, but one thing you'll
see right away when you meet me is that I really love babies & children,
and their families. In fact, this past year I made the decision
to do less of the other types of photography I offer so I could
devote more time to photographing babies & children. Maybe
it's the fact that I have 2 young children at home who along
with my wife who are the greatest gifts I've ever been blessed
with. Maybe it's the fact that I am still amazed at the wonder
of childhood and the miracle that new life is. Maybe it's the
indescribable satisfaction I get every time a mom & dad
shake my hand or give me a hug as they express how much their
new portraits mean to them. Maybe it's all of these things.
The point is, for me photographing babies isn't "a job"-
it's a passion, and I guarantee that nobody else on the Central
Coast (or anywhere else for that matter) is going to put more
time, emotion, and creative energy into creating your portraits
than I will- period.
If
I don't end up being your photographer, make ABSOLUTELY
SURE your photographer isn't just doing this for the
money, but actually is passionate about working with
babies & children!!
Why
Your Baby's Portrait Will Become More Valuable To You
Than Anything Else In Your Home:
Do
you have a photograph of your baby (or other children) that,
if you were running from your burning home, would be the
one thing you save (other than your family members, of course)
on the way out? Fortunately I haven't had any of my clients
experience a tradgedy like that, but I have had clients tell
me that the portraits I created for their family really are
that precious to them.
Do
you have a photograph of your baby that means that much to
you? Now, I'm not talking about a "snapshot" that
was taken with a "point & shoot" camera. I'm
talking about a wonderful portrait, created by an artistic
photographer, that not only captures your baby's true expressions
and personality, but also does so in a way that you'd be
proud to display in your home for the rest of your life.
My
desire is for you to be able to enjoy portraits of your baby
that really do mean the world to you. That's why I work so
hard to create the most beautiful & emotional portraits
possible, and why I strive to be among the very best at what
I do. For me this isn't about money- it's about preserving
the moments and memories that matter the most to families
just like yours.
